When correctly sealed, the bag blocks the wireless signals that enable location tracking, including GPS, mobile network triangulation and Wi-Fi positioning. While your phone remains inside the correctly sealed bag, it cannot transmit or receive the signals used to determine its location.
Once the phone is removed from the bag, normal connectivity resumes and location services function again as usual.
