Introducing EMF-Turtal for outdoor use, the cutting-edge carbon-based EMF shielding paint designed to protect you from high-frequency radiation exposure. Made with pure acrylate, graphite, and graphene technology, this paint is available in powder form for long-term storage and easy application. The EMF-Turtal is easy-to-apply, high-yield shielding paint. Simply mix the product with 2 liters of water for 10 minutes using a stirrer and a cordless screwdriver, following the provided instructions. You'll be able to cover 5.0m² per liter for one painted layer and 2.5m² per liter for two painted layers on smooth and primed surfaces. Its quick drying time means you can save valuable time and it can be painted over with most commercially available facade paints just a few hours later. This is a low-odor, low-emission shielding paint that does not contain any chemical solvents.

The shielding effectiveness in a range 500 MHz to 40 GHz (1-layer, 2-layer) was measured by an independent expert. The report can be found below in the Downloads section.

All shielding attenuation values given apply to frequencies from 500 MHz to 40 GHz and were measured by Professor Pauli in University of the German Armed Forces, Munich.

We recommend (depending on the radiation exposure on-site) to always use at least two coats of paint.

Strong shielding performance at 5G

Thanks to many years of intensive research work and innovative product development, our 5G shielding paint EMF-Turtal has a shielding effectiveness in a very wide frequency range.

The strength of our shielding paint lies mainly in the shielding of the very high frequencies as with 5G. Since the product launch in 2019 this includes the two 5G frequency spectra FR1 (600 MHz to 6 GHz) and FR2 (24GHz to 40 GHz).

We have an independently prepared, external expert opinion from a longtime renowned expert for high-frequency radar and microwave technology (Prof. Pauli, former University of the German Federal Armed Forces). From this independent expert opinion, you can see the shielding values from 500 MHz up to 40 GHz.

Technical Data:

EMF-Turtal paint is flame-retardant product, specially designed for ceiling and interior wall applications. Each pack of PLV 3 powder, when mixed with 2 liters of water, creates 3 liters of shielding paint for easy application. The stand-up pouch packaging, measuring 34cm in height, 25cm in width and 10cm in thickness, contains 1.150g of product. All safety information can be found in the included data sheet.

Ensure optimal adhesion with our shielding paint on a wide range of substrates, including old painted facades, plasterboard, plaster, concrete, polystyrene, and unpainted wood, among others. For more information, refer to the processing datasheet in the Downloads section below on the page. Note that absorbent substrates must always be primed before use. With uneven and textured surfaces, higher paint consumption should be expected.

For exterior use, it is imperative that the shielding paint be painted over with facade paint. Direct exposure to the weather elements will negatively impact its shielding performance in the long term. Use outdoors only when conditions are dry and temperatures are above 10°C. Our shielding paint serves as a shielding layer beneath the facade paint. Avoid using clay-based paints for overpainting. For natural or biological silicate emulsion paints, lime, and casein paints, we recommend conducting a test before use as not all paints may adhere to graphites/graphene in the same manner. Additionally, we do not recommend using pure mineral paints (clay, pure silicate).

Grounding: Must be grounded by a qualified electrician! We recommend using our grounding copper tape or grounding plate, which you can find in our shop on the grounding page. Under no circumstances must the grounding be done via the lightning conductor!

Important notes: The electrical installation (fuse boxes) must consist of at least two earth fault safety switches (RCDs) (often generally 300 mA and one for the bathroom and 30 mA water rooms). In order to absorb extremely low-frequency electrical fields, the earth resistance should ideally be below 10 Ohm. Ask a qualified electrician for more information. Please note that the earth has no influence on the elimination of high frequencies, only on safety and extremely low-frequency electrical fields.

EMF-Turtal shielding paint powder has a shelf life of several years. After mixing the powder with water, it is best to apply the paint within 6 weeks for optimal results. The powder is also frost-resistant for safe transportation during winter. It is important to always mix a full bag of PLV 3 and to give the mixture a thorough stir before each use, including before applying the second layer. This is because the particles can settle in the bucket during the drying time of the first layer.
